White cotton yellows for three reasons: body oils, detergent residue and heat. Address those and whites stay white.
Wash whites alone, warm not hot
Hot water sets protein stains at the collar. Warm water with a thorough rinse removes oils without setting them.
Pre-treat collars and cuffs
A gentle enzyme pre-treatment before washing lifts oils that build up over weeks.
Skip the chlorine
Chlorine bleach yellows cotton over time. Oxygen-based brighteners are safer. For yellowed whites, our restoration service de-yellows without damage.
